Learn how to create QR codes individual, multiple and group/ sections of tables within your venue.
QR Ordering allows your guests to not only view your menu by scanning a QR code but also place orders directly, reducing the need for interaction with waitstaff.
Before enabling QR ordering, it's essential to set up your venue's tables, room numbers, or sunbeds in the My Menu platform, and assign a unique QR code to each to identify the source of every order.
Follow these steps to set up your QR codes:
1. Go to My Menu Sign In
2. Enter your registered email and password to log in.
3. Click on "Tables & QR" on the side menu
You then have the option to create a 'Table' or 'Table Group'. Let's review both options.
If you plan to group tables together and assign them to a staff member, we recommend creating a 'Table Group' before creating individual tables.
This way, you can allocate individual tables to that group as you set them up in the system.
To create a Table Group, follow these steps:
Click on the 'Table Group' option.
Name your table group for easy identification. In the example below the name is 'Roof Top'
You may allocate a specific staff member to the Table Group by selecting a user from the drop down menu. This step is not mandatory.

Once your Table Group has been created you can proceed to create individual tables.
Options to Create a Table:
1. Click on 'Table' from the sidebar menu
2. Select 'Create'
3. You have the option to create 1 table or a table group.
To Create Individual Tables
To set up individual tables within your venue, follow these steps:
Table Group: Leave it blank. This option is to be selected only if you have created a table group
Type: Select 'Individual'
Location: select a location for your table
ID: this is to be linked to your POS billing system when ordering and through My Menu is enabled
Name: Pick a name or number so that your staff and customers can identify the table
Hit Save to save your created table.
Important Notes
The number of tables you can create depends on your subscription plan.
Do not delete tables after printing the QR codes. If you do, the QR codes will not work, and you will need to create new tables.
To Create a group of tables:
To set up a group of tables, follow the steps listed below:
Table Group: Pick a name from the table group created
Type: Select 'Group'
Location: Select a location for your table
Prefix and Suffix: Select two words to identify all tables within your table group or section. The table numbers within the selected range will be placed in between the prefix and suffix.
'Range From' and 'Range to': Choose a range of numbers to create all tables at once. Each number within this range will be assigned to a table, positioned between the prefix and suffix selected in the previous step to identify each table within the group.
Save your changes.
